Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Development
Drones are now commonly used to survey land for infrastructure development, sub-divisions, etc, as they can perform the task far faster than traditional surveying methods.
Typical uses for drones include;
-
Pre-build planning, eg to make sure planners have an accurate and detailed knowledge of the location and type of existing facilities and landscape of the existing “as-built” environment, prior to works commencing
-
Progress reporting, eg, to assist with and provide visual progress reports of any construction works, on a regular basis, to inform stakeholders and managers
